Just buy it!!
After months of debate on whether I should spend the money on Ecomobl Electric Skateboard , now that I have, no regrets. I have been snowboarding for 20 years but now live too far away to go regularly. On the smooth bike paths Darwin this machine feels like I’m carving on snow again!
My electric mountain skateboard riding well on the snow
With the A/T tyres you can literally hit a grassed tree line weaving in and out without worrying too much on the uneven terrain (except tree roots!!) I bought the lights package and they work well at night, I can see head at +30km/h quite well. I am really enjoying tweaking the double kind pin trucks to get that tuned ride that I am used to snowboarding.
The torque of the motors is enough to grin ear to ear each press of the trigger. The missus gets worried each time I go riding expecting a hospital phone call but the controller is smooth and you can really cruise at your own pace and push it gradually with great control. This is my second electric board, first was a different brand, and the Ecomobl e board blows it out of the park. The bamboo deck has a nice flex (I’m 72kg) and is not sloppy at all. Like any sport, it’s an investment.
I called the store before purchasing and they were very helpful so well done Ecomobl for creating a great product and customer service!
One upgrade I thought of that would be super convenient for the boards AC charger, to have a USB charging port on the charger for charging the remote/lights/accessories. Cheers.
In addition, I really like night riding e board. I will share with you some experiences of riding an electric skateboard at night.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED BEFORE RIDING AN ELECTRIC BOARD AT NIGHT
SHREDLIGHTS
Shredlights attach to the front and back end of your board (as shown in the video) and they are one of, if not the, most important thing to have when riding at night. Why? Two reasons: first, they allow you to see what’s in front of you so you can over come adversities in the road such as cracked pavement, dirt, rocks, etc. Secondly, they provide light so that others can see you. Whether it’s cars, bikers, or even trains it doesn’t matter. People need to be able to see you or bad things will happen. DO NOT ride at night without lights aiming in front and behind your board.
PROTECTIVE GEAR
Obviously, you should wear a helmet and all the other protective gear you usually wear when riding. At night, it is advised to take extra measures because the risk of falling is higher. Try to at least make sure no part of your body is exposed, road rash is not fun. Also wear reflective gear if you can, so that you can be seen by others. I know you may think reflective gear doesn’t look cool, but neither does going to the hospital… trust me, it’s not worth it.
