Chet Wise share a post on Ecomobl facebook office group about Telum BA electric skateboard on a snow day,and the Telum BA wrap caught the attention of Mark Browning

Mark Browning:

I like the wrap

Chet Wise:

A year ago during an ice storm where walking was dangerous, but thus thing had grip. I wonder how the narrow tires would have handled this snow though. They definitely handle crunchy ice better than deep snow.

Wrapping it was some effort, but I like the way it turned out and it should help preserve the carbon fiber some.
Thanks for the compliment!

Mark Browning:

Yup, great way to protect the board. Can I ask where you got the wrap material from ?

Chet Wise:
Mark BrowningI had a bunch left over from some I got for my car off of Amazon.

The Ukrainian flag is reflective tape from Amazon and there’s some white reflective tape surrounding it and making an X on the battery.
Just find whatever sort of vinyl you want on Amazon and get enough for the board and battery. They come in lots of dimensions.

Diamond plate.amd cammo would look super bad ass too. It would be way easier to add the vinyl before assembly too, bought mine used so had to take it apart. There’s no plug for the frontlights and I haven’t hooked em back up yet.because I’d like to add a plug.

Mark Browning:

Nice ? How does it handle in the snow? Hard wheels or pneumatic? Any range loss from cold weather? I’ve ordered my BA , When I receive my it , I’m thinking of getting heel straps also, your thoughts on that?

Chet Wise:

Mark Browning I only ride 4 blocks to walk a dog, then 4 blocks back. It’s not the most comfortable distance riding board, so I habe no idea the range, but distance would be more affected by the resistance of the snow. I’ve got some video I’ll post at some point. I had it in low speed setting so never went much over 5 mph. The tires are the solid ones and are really heavy. It’s super hard to jump turn with these big ones on.
The cold would affect range, but it’s not out in it long. It’s really hard to tell the battery charge with the meter, I prefer a percentage readout. The battery takes forever to get to half and then goes pretty fast.
I rode these same tracks 5 or 6 times over 2 days.

As far as heel straps, I’m only marginally comfortable being strapped with a pretty easy out, nit sure if I would like having my heel stuck in. I don’t bail often, but it’s not that hard to get off this board. Heel straps would be more for jumpers, or people who don’t mind staying attached in all circumstances. It always feels weird going back to my Metroboard after having these foot straps.
It’s a great board but it’s sort of like driving a Jeep in 4 low.
It definitely takes more effort than my.other boards. It also goes over almost anything. You barely.notoce going off a curb and I’ve slow crawled my way up a curb or 2.

Mark Browning:

“Like driving a Jeep in 4 low ” , very descriptive , I know exactly what you mean
