This means I can travel 60km/37mi in the forest 75km/46mi on asphalt with my M24Pro – only in PRO mode, steep mountains, mud, gravel, forest paths and asphalt when driving fast.
Both batteries are connected to each other, are charged together (with a 10A power supply) and the BMS work wonderfully together.
A cable had come loose and so only the lower battery was used. In the middle of the mountain, in the forest, on a group ride. The source of the error was quickly found (always have tools with you) and the two BMS had to “work” together for a while so that the balancing of the batteries was balanced again.
As for the battery expansion: that was the best investment on my M24Pro (12S6P). This gets me really far. Just yesterday I drove 53km/32mi with a lot of mountains, a lot of gravel and forest floor (only about 30% asphalt) only in Pro mode. After 2 hours the battery was empty and so were my legs – especially my front knee ?
My record with this extension was 60km/40mi with the large tires (255×90) and around 75km/46mi with the pneumatic tires – but that always depends on the temperature, wind, weight and surface.
With the M24, the ESC is included in the battery box – according to Ecomobl you would have to solder the battery extension. For my M24Pro and the two ESCs that are mounted at the top, I connected the extension with a Y adapter. Please ask support beforehand – perhaps something has changed regarding the integration of the battery extension on the M24, or they have found a better solution…”

Here I would like to shed some BASIC info on batteries used in esk8, notation, configuration, ratings, etc. Battery Notation Common battery notation you keep seeing or will see is a (XX)s(YY)p battery with (ZZ) cells: XX is the number of cells you have in series ( s ) type connection. YY is the number of cells you have in parallel ( p ) type connection. ZZ is the actual battery cell type used.
