Riding Experience

Let’s clear this up right away: the Ecomobl M24 Pro is not your typical commuter board. It’s more akin to a recreational vehicle like an ATV or a dirt bike. This is the kind of gear you load into the back of your truck or SUV, drive to a great spot, and have an incredible time.

You’ll definitely need that truck or SUV, too. The M24 Pro measures a hefty 46 inches in length, and from personal experience, I can tell you it fits snugly into the back of a Ford Explorer with barely an inch to spare. But here’s the advantage — unlike an ATV or dirt bike, which can’t fit in the back of an Uber XL, the M24 Pro can. And that’s exactly what I did.

Besides you’ll notice about the M24 Pro is its ability to handle different surfaces seamlessly. Whether you’re riding on grass, dirt, sand, or uneven pavement, the 10-inch pneumatic tires provide excellent traction and shock absorption. This means fewer bumps and a smoother ride overall, even on rugged terrain.

I can confirm that the M24 Pro is essentially an ATV for your feet.

It sounds different from any other board I’ve ridden. The suspension has a bit of play, which is normal, and the planetary gears in the wheels create a unique sound. At slow speeds, it sounds like a rickety pirate ship, but once you pick up speed, that noise fades away.

I took the M24 Pro to a local park and tested it on some trails. This board effortlessly handles huge tree roots and navigates forest hills and slopes without a hitch. The suspension absorbs everything in its path, making for a smooth ride.

Performance and Control

The M24 Pro’s motors are incredibly powerful, offering rapid acceleration and a top speed that can satisfy even the most daring riders. However, reaching the board’s maximum speed of 31 mph can be intimidating. Most riders, including myself, find a cruising speed of 20 mph (32 km/h) to be the sweet spot for comfort and safety. Beyond 25 mph (40 km/h), the awareness of speed and potential risks becomes more pronounced. At its top speed, falling off would mean more than just a simple tumble, highlighting the importance of safety gear and caution.

Versatility

One of the most impressive features of the M24 Pro is its versatility. While it excels in off-road conditions, it’s also highly capable on asphalt. The pneumatic tires make it easier to roll over potholes and cracks that would typically be problematic for boards with smaller, harder wheels. This versatility means you don’t have to limit your rides to a particular type of terrain; you can transition from streets to trails with ease.

Weight

One thing to keep in mind is the weight of the board itself. When I tested the M24 Pro during peak fall in New York, the board’s weight caused me to slide around a bit on the leaves. Of course, this is relative; a normal board would instantly lose traction and toss me off. With the M24 Pro, you’ll notice the weight, but experienced riders can manage the momentum without much issue.

We know the board has power and surprisingly good handling considering its size, but what about durability? There’s no getting around it; these suspension boards are far more complex than standard boards. The M24 Pro likely has hundreds of parts, whereas my Backfire Zealot might have around fifty individual parts. It’s in a completely different league.

That being said, the M24 Pro’s substantial weight comes from the sheer robustness of its components. The suspension arms and fittings are exceptionally thick, and even the battery box is encased in a sturdy aluminum enclosure. While it may not be the prettiest, it’s clear that the Ecomobl team designed the M24 Pro to withstand heavy use and rough conditions.

Price

Right now, the M24 Pro costs $2,399, which is not cheap, but beats the pants off of the $4,649 Bajaboard G4X.

This board HAD ME SMILING from ear to ear.

The Ecomobl M24 Pro isn’t made for city dwellers like me with limited outdoor access. It’s built for those who want to dominate the trails, and it does so with plenty of power to spare. Plus, its 960Wh battery lets you venture far before needing a recharge.

The Ecomobl M24 Pro is a game-changer in the world of electric skateboards. It combines power, durability, and versatility to offer a riding experience that goes beyond the capabilities of standard electric skateboards. Whether you’re cruising city streets or exploring off-road trails, this board is designed
